We’re married, now let’s celebrate! 🎉 [Bride] & [Groom] invite you to our wedding reception. 📅 [Day, Date] 🕖 [Time] onwards 📍 [Venue], [City] Dinner and dancing. Please RSVP here: [Link]
Reception · invitation wording
The reception usually has the longest guest list: colleagues, neighbours, the wider circle who may not attend the ceremony. Its invitation is therefore the one most often sent on its own, and it must stand alone: names, date, time, venue, and a clear, easy RSVP.
These templates cover the couple’s invite, the parents’ formal version, a reception-only message for people not invited to the wedding itself, a note for colleagues, and Hindi/Hinglish wording. If the reception is one of several events, link to the full schedule so guests see only what they are invited to.

Make it personal
Paste a template as-is, or do what these templates keep pointing at: create your free Shaadify wedding website, add every event with venue and map, and send each guest their own WhatsApp link. It greets them by name, shows only the events they’re invited to, and collects their RSVP (yes/no/maybe, plus-ones, meal preference), no app, no account for guests.
Be direct and warm: say the wedding is an intimate ceremony and that you would love to celebrate with them at the reception, then give date, time, venue and RSVP. Guests appreciate clarity more than vagueness.
Either works. Parents usually send the formal version to relatives and their own circle; the couple sends friends and colleagues a message in their own voice. Many families do both for the same event.
Yes. Copy any template into WhatsApp as-is, or create a free Shaadify wedding website and send each guest a personalised link: it opens inside WhatsApp, shows every event with venue and timing, and lets guests RSVP per event (yes/no/maybe, plus-ones, meal preference) without installing anything.
