WhatsApp-first invites

WhatsApp wedding invitations your guests actually open

Most Indian wedding invitations already travel on WhatsApp: a PDF card, a JPEG, a forwarded message. Shaadify turns that habit into something that works: every guest gets a personalised link to your wedding website, opened straight from the chat, with their own RSVP form waiting at the end.

There is nothing for guests to download or sign up for. They tap the link, see your site (your photos, your story, every event with its venue and timing) and tell you whether they are coming. You see every response in your dashboard as it arrives.

One tap per guest

Add a guest or a family in the Guests tab and tap “Invite on WhatsApp”. Shaadify opens WhatsApp with a ready-made message and that guest’s personal link: you just pick the chat and send.

A share card, not a bare link

Your link unfurls in WhatsApp as a card with the couple’s names, the wedding date and city over a decorative frame, so the invite looks like an invitation before anyone taps it.

Personalised for each guest

Every link is unique. The guest’s RSVP page greets them by name, shows their stay details if you have arranged one, and lets them respond for everyone in their party.

Event-scoped invites

Invite some guests to only the reception and others to the full wedding. A scoped invite’s message, share card and site name only the events it covers, and the RSVP form asks only about those.

Share the whole site too

Every published site has a WhatsApp share button in its navigation, and the dashboard has a one-tap share for the public address: for the family group, the wedding Instagram bio or a status update.

Opens in WhatsApp’s own browser

Sites are light and fast on mobile, so they load inside the in-app browser on a patchy connection: where most guests will be when they tap.

Step by step

How WhatsApp invites work

  1. 1

Create your wedding website, add your events and publish it at your own address, like priya-rahul.shaadify.org.

  2. 2

In the Guests tab, add guests individually or as families, with the number of seats each party has.

  3. 3

Tap “Invite on WhatsApp” next to any guest: WhatsApp opens with the message and their personal link. Send it.

  4. 4

The guest taps the link, sees your site and RSVPs per event. Their response appears in your dashboard immediately.

  5. 5

Need to nudge someone? Reopen the same invite and send it again: the link stays the same, and they can update their answer any time.

Questions about whatsapp invites

Do guests need to have the Shaadify app or an account?

No. There is no guest app and no guest login. The personalised link opens your wedding website in WhatsApp’s browser (or any browser) and the RSVP form is right there.

Can I send the same invite to a family instead of each person?

Yes. Add the family as one guest with the number of people in the party; their single link lets them RSVP for everyone, including plus-ones.

What does the invite look like in WhatsApp?

A short message with your names and the link, which unfurls into a share card showing the couple’s names, wedding date and city. For event-scoped invites the card names the events covered.

Can I invite some people only to the reception?

Yes: create an event-scoped invite that covers just the reception (or any set of events) and share that with those guests. Everything they see, from the message to the RSVP form, is limited to those events.
